Hello everyone! My name is James. Welcome to my blogsite.
So, who am I?
Well, I received my PHD in Curriculum and Instruction – focusing on Educational Technology – from the University of Florida (UF) back in December 2020.
I also have a Master of Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Arts in Linguistics. As an undergrad, I studied Telecommunication Operations at the UF College of Journalism and Spanish Language and Literature from the UF College of Liberal Arts.
Some of my passions (in no particular order) include:
- The design, development, and implementation of effective learning solutions for professional development of organizational leaders and university faculty.
- The development of competence in educational technology and project management.
- The application of project management in “non-traditional project-based professions” (especially in Educational Technology and Instructional Design).
- Applications of project-based learning across learning contexts.
- Studying the world’s languages and cultures.
While the original goal of this site was to chronicle my doctoral journey, a larger objective is to share some of the knowledge and key skills I have developed while a Ph.D. student at the University of Florida Educational Technology Program, an educational practitioner across various professional contexts, and a life-long learner.
I hope that in some small way, you will find useful information on this site. If you have any recommendations for improvement of the site, please Contact Me!
Thank you.
James W. Kline
